GCS Partner Telx Celebrates Employee Accolade

By Anil Sharma, TMCnet Contributor

Mary Fahey, director of channels of Telx, has been named to the Top 100 Women of the Channel by the Everything Channel’s CRN. Telx is a partner of Global Convergence Solutions (GCS (News - Alert)), a proprietary rating and routing company.

Fahey and the rest of the nominated women represent a changing trend in a traditionally all-male industry, according to company officials. The Top 100 women were chosen by the editors of the magazine based on their achievements as executives and the amount of influence they wield over the technology channel.

"We are very pleased to see women executives reaching the highest levels in a wide range of dynamic companies. It is with great pleasure that we honor the women that have made a profound impact in the technology marketplace,” said Robert C. DeMarzo, senior vice president and editorial director, Everything Channel, in a statement.

“We offer our congratulations to all of the women included on our list for their significant contributions to our industry," said DeMarzo.

Fahey’s achievements include the recruitment and retaining of more than 50 channel partners in the past year, including three Master Agents nationwide.

She also drove Telx’s expansion of International alliances, including training and on-boarding. Mary's primary focus at Telx includes marketing and awareness of Telx's channel partner program.

“I am honored to be named to this list of influential women in the technology industry,” said Fahey in a statement.

“My primary goal is to create a high-value community of partners with complementary technologies and services. I look forward to continuing the expansion of the number of partners who contribute to revenue goals on a monthly basis,” she added.

She said that Telx’s industry-leading community of service providers, financial markets firms, cloud providers and large enterprises, as well as the company’s interconnection service model, makes Telx a great channel partner in any of the company’s locations.

Telx is a provider of interconnection and data center services in strategic, high demand North American markets.

TMCnet in May reported that New York-based metro Ethernet services provider IPNETZONE has joined the Telx Ethernet Exchange to expand the reach of its recently-launched MPLS Exchange Platform (MEP).

Powered by the 6.4 TB/s capable Cisco ASR 9000 hardware platform and the modular Cisco (News - Alert) (IOS XR software operating system, the Telx Ethernet Exchange provides a simplified method of interconnecting service provider networks on a one-to-many basis.
